In Thiruvaimozhi 2.9.2, Nammazhvaar prays to the Lord, to grant him the hands of knowledge.
In the year 2017, Vedics Foundation launched Srivaishnavam classes for children in cities across USA with two main goals:
- Santhai of Naalaayira Divya Prabandham, starting with Nithyanusandhanam.
- Story time with vaibhavams of azhvaars and acharyas.

How does this work?
- Participating cities and chapters pick 1-2 volunteer teachers to coordinate and teach for your city/chapter at a mutually convenient time.
- Each week 3 santhai classes will be held through teleconference for 30 minutes each.
- The 4th class will be in person, conducted by the volunteer teacher for 1 hour. The first 30 minutes will be santhai of the lessons taught that week. The next 20 minutes will be story time followed by 10 minutes of choice time.
- Teaching materials for story time will be provided.
- Follow school year (Aug/Sep to May/June), recital at the end of the year
- Acharya sri sookthis during anadyayana kaalam
Who can join?
- Age: 7 and above
- Younger children can join at teacher’s discretion provided parents can accompany and ensure there is no disruption to the class.

Cost?
Classes are free. Story time books to be purchased through Vedics at a nominal cost ($15-$30).

Yuva Vikas SUMMER CAMP 2016 Participant Guidelines
- Children sign-in time is between 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM every day. An adult has to sign them in. No drop-off please.
- Children sign-out time is between 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM. They will not be let out unless an adult signs them off.
- Please be punctual. Attendance will be taken every day.
- Students should come to the camp after taking bath and applying thilakam.
- Teachers must be given heads up for planned absence.
- On the first day of the camp parents have to sign a liability release form. This step is mandatory.
- Please make sure to give your emergency contact number, full names of the parents and an alternate contact number. This is very important.
- Children will have a yoga session at 9 AM. Please make sure that they have not taken heavy breakfast before coming to the class.
- Children will perform Puja every day in the camp. Please make sure that they have taken bath and wear clean clothes before coming to the camp. Please send flowers for the puja, if possible. Children will feel happy in doing puja with flowers.
- Children will have story activities during the camp. It is good if you can send their own art supplies such as pencils, erasers, sharpeners, color pencils etc.
- Fruits will be served after Puja. Carefully prepared vegetarian lunch will be served in the afternoon. Snacks will be served in the evening. If you have any special diet requirements, please send the diet with the child and let us know at the sign-in time.
