We live in a very materialistic world with selfish attitude. Humanity is diminishing from this world in the current state. The cows have met with a horrible fate in India due to the malicious intentions and fallacious arguments of humans. What is humanity? Where is humanity? But not all hope is lost yet, as long as there are still humans left, blessed with a mind to think and a heart to feel for living beings. There are lots of people out there who do wonderful selfless service in helping bring in changes to save not just these helpless cows but in general save animals and humans from persecution.
Vedics is delighted to provide its little mite towards rehabilitating bulls and cows from slaughterhouses. The rescued cows are sheltered in our Goshalas run by a group of selfless volunteers. ‘Go Pals’ (Friends of cows) there in Srirangam work tirelessly in sheltering these cows and help in their speedy recovery by having Veterinarians take care of them.
Amongst the many cows, buffalos and bulls rescued were 5 buffalos with minor injuries near Karur. They were temporarily sheltered in our goshala as per legal procedures. Also, 25 gigantic bulls in a single vehicle were ceased in samayapuram Tamil Nadu India. Once over midnight, we've ceased a vehicle on its way to slaughter house and rescued about 25 cows and calves. First aid were given at our Thirumalai AzhwAr Pasu nirai koodam
It is needless to say that the voluteers put their lives at risk while fighting for the cause against forces whose eyes are on making great profit.

Vedics is delighted to provide its little mite towards rehabilitating cows that are abandoned because they are injured, unproductive, diseased or orphaned, by supporting Goshalas run by a group of selfless volunteers. A Goshala is located in the banks of Srirangam near Trichy at Sri Manavala Mamunigal Thiruvarasu. ‘Go Pals’ (Friends of cows) there in Srirangam work tirelessly in sheltering these cows and help in their speedy recovery by having Veterinarians take care of them. "Azhagiyamanavalan Aa Nirai Koodam" is our goshala at the historic Gopurapatti village near Srirangam. Please watch its inauguration here -

A land is blessed only if the cows are happy. One cannot hope to attain true progress in the society with wealth alone - when cows, animals and woman etc. are persecuted.
For e.g. Subhadra (above right with her calf, Ranga) is amongst the many cows that had been abandoned and injured while escaping from a cruel butcher. The goshala sheltered her and gave her treatment. Sri Mannargudi Sri Chendalangara Jeeyar Swami, whose compassion is boundless be it for cows or for humanity, with great efforts united the yearning cow with her calf, whom he named Ranga". Rohini is cudding her Balaram on the left photo.
"Poorani", whose photo is in the top of the page, came to our Srirangam goshala from Trichy Puthur with wounds at her joints, unable to even stand or walk. Our team of volunteers spent hours together attending her and made a temporary set up at our place to make her stand on her own.
And the Goshala members never consider themselves doing a favor on the cows but feel as if a new member has been added to their family. The cows are worshipped by the hindu traditional methods. Amritha Kalasal (Amrut Jal) being made with cow dung & jaggery are used as a organic fertilizer for the trees.
