A: At the outset, it must be appreciated that the Supreme Lord is infinitely independent that He stays beyond the queries of anyone. In exercise of His independence, the Lord has rendered the ‘nithya sooris’ with abundant knowledge to enable them to serve Him well and in the process enjoy their work in His abode, which is designed for everlasting enjoyment. Precisely for this reason, His abode is called the ‘nithya vibhoothi’ (eternal opulence) and ‘bhoga vibhoothi’ (joyous opulence). The world of the ‘baddhas’ is different and is called the ‘leela vibhoothi’ (sportive opulence), where a different set of activities are involved, which require living entities of limited knowledge and bound by their ‘karma’. Nevertheless, the living entities of His sportive opulence are enabled to elevate themselves to the higher level of ‘nithyasooris’ by seeking His refuge. Thus He displays His quality of grace.
